Man faces life in prison for 2023 murder in Reading
A man accused of shooting and killing a Reading man in July 2023 was convicted of 1st degree murder in a Berks County court Friday.
READING, Pa. - A man accused of shooting and killing a Reading man in July 2023 was convicted of 1st degree murder in a Berks County court Friday, according to a Berks County District Attorney social media post.
Authorities say Vincent Sanchez shot Ellis Garman on July 21, 2023 at S. Sixth and Cherry streets in downtown Reading.
Sanchez faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.
The case was investigated by City of Reading Police Department CI Joshua Sheller, and tried by ADAs Rachel Louviaux and Dennis Skayhan.
