Arrest made in Bossier Parish deadly hit-and-run
BOSSIER CITY, La. -- Troopers have made an arrest in connection with the fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life a Mooringsport man last month.
BOSSIER CITY, La. -- Troopers have made an arrest in connection with the fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life a Mooringsport man last month.
Miguel Angel Ceballos-Vasquez, 71, of Shreveport, was arrested Monday on charges of felony hit-and-run driving and obstruction of justice.
Ceballos-Vasquez is accused of hitting Jerry Vest, 43, as he walked along state Highway 3 near Courtney Lane on June 20. Vest was hit from behind and died at the scene.
Louisiana State Police led the investigation into Vest's death. Local and federal authorities assisted in locating and arresting Ceballos-Vasquez.
He was booked in to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Jail.
