TEXARKANA, Texas -- A woman is in custody after allegedly calling in a false bomb threat in Texarkana.
Police said Becky Clizzie, 56, was still on the scene at the Texarkana Public Library when officers and firefighters arrived around 3 p.m. Monday.
Clizzie reportedly told staff she had placed a bomb inside the building.
The library was quickly evacuated while emergency crews checked the building and surrounding area. After a thorough search, nothing was found.
Clizzie was taken into custody and charged with false alarm or report then booked into the Bi-State Jail.
"Thankfully, it turned out to be nothing, but it did lead to a full emergency response and temporary disruption at the library. Not cool at all," Texarkana police said in a social media post.
