TEXARKANA, Texas -- A 51-year-old Texarkana business owner was arrested Friday afternoon on a charge of indecent assault following an investigation by the Texarkana Texas Police Department.

The investigation began after a report was made in May alleging that Jason Williams had made inappropriate comments to a teenage female employee at his business. Following that incident, the employee's parent shared details of the allegation on social media. Several women subsequently commented that they had experienced inappropriate behavior from Williams in the past.

Detective Lauren Freeman contacted most of the individuals who came forward. During the investigation, an 18-year-old woman reported that while working for Williams in August, Williams allegedly pulled down her shirt and bra, exposing her breast. She told investigators that she immediately told him to stop and slapped him in response. She also reported the incident to several people at the business before quitting her job because of what had occurred. Although she did not report the incident to police at the time, she later provided details to Freeman during the investigation.

Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, Freeman obtained an arrest warrant for Williams.

Williams was stopped by an officer Friday while driving, and the warrant was served. He was transported to the Bi-State Jail, where he was booked on the charge.

Williams was released Saturday after posting a $50,000 bond.
