Logistics company to lay off over 160 at Amazon fulfillment centers in Denton County

More than 160 employees are being laid off by Dylan Logistics, a North Texas-based logistics company, according to a filing with the state on Aug. 11.

Dylan Logistics is laying off 97 employees from its Lewisville location at 1303 Ridgeview Drive and 70 in Fort Worth at 15501 N. Beach St., both in Denton County.

The two addresses where the layoffs are happening are associated with Amazon Fulfillment Centers, which often use of third-party contractors in their delivery network.

The layoffs occurred due to a total closure of operations at both locations, according to two letters filed with the Texas Workforce Commission, under the Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification Act.

The layoffs are expected to take effect between Oct. 12 and Oct. 25. A majority of the workers affected are drivers, with 89 being laid off from the Lewisville location and 70 from the Fort Worth location.

Two of the Lewisville employees with the job title of “Owner” are included in the layoffs.

In the letter filed with the state, it was stated that there would be no bumping rights for the affected employees, and no union represents the affected employees.

Dylan Logistics, registered to a residential address in Highland Village, is a for-hire carrier company authorized as a motor carrier of property, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation. In 2025, the department indicates that the company had 150 drivers and drove about 1.2 million miles.
