HEBBRONVILLE — Refugio dropped a straight-set match to Hebbronville on Friday, Aug. 21, falling 25-11, 25-8, 25-18.

The Lady Cats struggled to generate offense against the Lady Horns but produced several blocks at the net.

Ally Johnston and Caylee Collins led Refugio with three kills apiece. Adriana Lara and Cambry Cisneros added two each, and Mya Mascorro finished with one.

Johnston led the Lady Cats defensively at the net with five blocks. Cisneros added four, while Cedie Wills and Mascorro each recorded two.

Cisneros and Wills served one ace apiece.

Mascorro led Refugio with six assists, while Collins had four and Wills added one.

Lara and Ava Solis each recorded five digs. Cisneros and Collins finished with four apiece, Wills and Mascorro had three each and Aubrey Brown added two.

Hebbronville controlled the opening two sets before Refugio showed more resistance in the third. The Lady Cats scored 18 points in the final set but could not extend the match.
