FALLS CITY — The Falls City ISD Board of Trustees has officially called a bond election following several months of thorough facility assessments, financial evaluations and long-range planning.

The overall bond package totals $11 million, divided into two distinct propositions designed to address critical upgrades to district infrastructure, facility security, transportation and athletic facilities.

Proposition A, the primary measure at $7.5 million, focuses on district-wide capital improvements and infrastructure. If approved, funding will target security vestibule and access enhancements, HVAC upgrades, technology projects, new student transportation vehicles and equipment, expanded parking areas and general capital maintenance.

Proposition B, valued at $3.5 million, concentrates on improving local athletic spaces. This portion of the package will fund the renovation of the baseball field currently leased from Falls City, along with the construction of a new softball field.

To help residents understand the details before voting, district officials will host an informational town hall meeting on Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. in the FCISD Auditorium.
