The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Franklin County High School during a matchup between South Middle School and Cornersville Middle School. Following the sudden attack, referees immediately ended the game and cleared the stadium without further injuries.
In response to the incident, local authorities issued strict bans against the suspect, barring her permanently from all Franklin County School System properties and prohibiting her from attending Cornersville games for a year. The game, which was halted in the third quarter, resulted in a 35-0 victory awarded to South Middle School.
