GRASSY FORK — A 26-year-old woman from Oklahoma was killed when a vehicle she was driving ran off the roadway and traveled down a mountainside on Friday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reported that Amber Wiggins was driving a 2025 Can-Am Defender, which is side-by-side, south on Grassy Fork Road on Friday afternoon. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway then traveled down a mountain, rolling over and striking a tree.

Wiggins was killed in the 4:30 p.m. accident. She was wearing a seat belt according to the THP report.

A passenger, Kayla Wiggins, 29, of Oklahoma, was injured in the accident. Details about the severity of her condition have not been released. She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

A second passenger in the vehicle, Patricia Wiggins, 54, also of Oklahoma, was not injured in the crash. She was wearing her seat belt.

No charges will be filed in conjunction with the accident. The THP is investigating the crash.
