NASHVILLE — Senator Steve Southerland (R-Morristown) is honored to announce his reappointment to the Tennessee Council for Career and Technical Education by Lt. Governor Randy McNally. His term will continue through June 30, 2027.

“I am grateful to Lt. Governor McNally for the trust he has placed in me to continue serving on this important council,” said Senator Southerland. “Career and technical education plays a vital role in building a strong, skilled workforce across Tennessee. I look forward to continuing our work with Tennessee’s outstanding colleges of applied technology and community colleges to support students, educators, and employers as we strengthen our state’s future.”

Senator Southerland also extended his thanks to Chancellor Flora Tydings and the Tennessee Board of Regents for their leadership in advancing career and technical education opportunities.

The Tennessee Council for Career and Technical Education advises state policymakers and promotes quality career and technical education programs that prepare students for high-demand careers.
