A new pool of boiling water at Yellowstone National Park’s Biscuit Basin erupted on June 23 after forming following a small hydrothermal explosion on June 13, according to USGS Volcanoes.
WYOMING, Mont. — A new boiling pool at Yellowstone National Park’s Biscuit Basin erupted this morning.
USGS Volcanoes shared the update and said the eruption sent steam and dirty water tens of feet into the air.
The pool formed last week following a small hydrothermal explosion on June 13.
