Wildfire near Whitehall threatens structure, public asked to avoid area

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mont. – A wildfire near Whitehall is threatening at least one structure. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office asked the public to avoid the area.
The sheriff’s office posted about the wildfire at 1:14 p.m. and asked people to “avoid the area and do not call dispatch for information unless you have an emergency.”
The wildfire is off Fish Creek Road off Highway 55, the sheriff’s office said.
