MISSOULA, Mont. – A heavy police presence was observed Tuesday morning after a rollover crash prompted road closures in the area of Stephens Avenue and West Bickford Street.

The incident took place just after 8 a.m. The Missoula Police Department (MPD) confirmed that at least two people and a dog were inside of the vehicle at the time of the crash, which left the car overturned in the roadway.

MPD officials reported that one person involved in the incident sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

According to witnesses at the scene, following the crash, the dog managed to escape the overturned car and run away, before it was eventually located and turned over to MPD officers.
