Bozeman, Mont. — Reports of immigration arrests in Bozeman have been circulating online. 

Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer confirmed I was in the area for targeted arrests on Monday. 

Springer said he did not have specific details about the arrests. 

In Bozeman, Bienvenidos of Gallatin Valleyis doing outreach. They are ableto help families find loved ones who are detained. The group also helps Spanish-speaking immigrant families adjust to life in the Gallatin Valley.  

Sally Moyce, who serves on the group's board of directors, said the needs have quickly shifted for some families. 

“Our biggest thing that's happening is we're getting requests from families who can't get to the store. So, they need milk, or they need diapers or, you know, whatever they need.We'reputting together donations and putting together boxes and delivering them,” Moyce said. 

The reported arrests came as a legal dispute continues between the Montana attorney general and Gallatin County Attorney Audrey Cromwell. 

That fight began in April over ICE actions, including a request from ICE for documents in Gallatin County that the county attorney did not grant.
