GREAT FALLS, Mont. — The Montana State Fair was set to open in Great Falls with nine days of events at Montana ExpoPark.

NonStop Local’s Michael Santoscoy reported from the fairgrounds about three hours before the gates were scheduled to open. He said he had not yet had a chance to walk around Montana ExpoPark.

The fair lineup included a two-day Indian Horse Relay starting this weekend and night show entertainment with live concerts from Third Eye Blind and Kansas. 

Fairgoers could also expect the carnival, vendors and a wide range of food options during the run of the fair.

The P-R-C-A Big Sky Pro Rodeo was also scheduled for next weekend.
