Rumors have been flying around Missoula that a Whole Foods Market grocery store is coming to a location on Brooks Street, and it looks like there's been an update.
A real estate listing from Sterling Commercial Real Estate Advisors of Missoula says that a property at 3333 Brooks St. will be "anchored by a Whole Foods Market."
The property is located at the site where the Brooks Street Motor Inn currently sits. The property owner was not immediately available for comment.
A representative for Sterling said there hasn't been an official announcement yet.
The real estate listing is for a "retail opportunity" at a site called Midtown Market, and the listing shows renderings of a building that's yet to be constructed.
"Modern construction with delivery anticipated April 2028," the listing says. "Midtown Market is a new mixed-use retail development located along the highly trafficked Brooks Street corridor. Positioned within the city's primary retail trade area, the project offers excellent visibility and convenient access to both Brooks and South Reserve Streets."
Documents indicate the development will feature flexible retail spaces suited for a variety of uses, including restaurants and service users.
The listing even shows the layout of where the Whole Foods Market will be on the site.
Whole Foods was sold to Amazon in 2017. The only other location in Montana is in Bozeman.
A request for comment from Amazon was not returned.
