One person dead after house fire in Ravalli County
A female victim was found inside a room that was on fire, and attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

A house fire in Florence ended with the death of one occupant on Thursday night, according to the Florence Fire and Emergency Medical Service.
"Florence Fire units were dispatched to a reported house fire with a person trapped inside on Iowa Street," the department said in an announcement on social media. "Fire units arrived shortly after dispatch and found a single family residence with smoke showing. Fire crews entered the dwelling and found a female victim in the room on fire. The victim was rescued from the structure and medical treatment was started on the patient. Sadly, all attempts to revive the victim were not successful and she passed away at the scene."
The fire was quickly controlled, the department noted. Units from Stevensville, Missoula Rural and Three Mile Fire Districts also assisted on the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The department didn't post any details about the victim's age or identity.
"The Florence Rural Fire District would like to express our sincere sympathies and condolences to the victim's family and friends," the department said.
