A driver crashed his vehicle into this home in the 3700 block of East Main Street in East Helena late Nov. 22, resulting in the death of an occupant of the home, authorities said.
A GoFundMe site has been set up to help the family of an East Helena woman who died when the driver of a vehicle fleeing authorities crashed into her home and struck her.
“On November 22, 2025, we lost Terry Lamping in an unimaginable accident that has left everyone who knew her heartbroken and shaken,” the posting by Melissa Boice and Ali Rice reads. “The impact of this loss has reached every corner of our family, and it is impossible to put into words how deeply this has affected us all.”
A 76-year-old man inside the home was injured as well.
The site says the family said the tragedy has brought “significant and unexpected financial burdens, including funeral expenses, time away from work, and (her husband) Phil is facing unexpected medical expenses.”
William Bart Stuart, 52, was charged Monday in Lewis and Clark County Justice Court with felony counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence, criminal endangerment and fleeing or eluding a peace officer causing serious bodily injury or death.
The site, created Tuesday, had raised $14,590 of its $26,000 goal by 5 p.m. Wednesday. There were 151 people who had donated.
