Scaffolding and cranes are up around the Montana State Capitol this week as part of a long list of repair and maintenance projects around the complex.

The 2025 Legislature appropriated $4.1 million for roof repairs, $5.7 million for elevator upgrades and $625,000 for restroom renovations across the campus.

Another $50 million was set aside for deferred maintenance. Several committee rooms inside the building have already been renovated.
