KALISPELL, Mont. - The Kalispell Police Department is investigating two fires that broke out on Monday morning—one at Edgerton Elementary and the other at Glacier High School—that are believed to have been set intentionally.

KPD said in a press release that officers first responded to reports of fire at Edgerton Elementary at 1:11 a.m. on Monday. At 2:01 a.m., officers were also dispatched to a reported fire at Glacier High School.

Both fires appear to be intentionally set, according to KPD.

"Due to the timing and circumstances of the incidents, investigators are examining whether the two fires are connected," KPD said. "There is no information at this time indicating an ongoing threat to students, staff, or the broader community."

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact KPD.
