Janicki Industries breaks ground on major Great Falls project

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — Janicki Industries broke ground in Great Falls on a project expected to bring more than 2,000 jobs to the region.

NonStop Local attended Friday's groundbreaking ceremony and visited the site at AgriTech Park for a look at the $800 million development.

City leaders said the project could keep more families in Great Falls by creating new local job opportunities. Mayor Cory Reeves said the growth matters for the community as the city works to give people more reasons to stay.

“This is what Great Falls needs. We need that job opportunity because right now, kids, young people, their families have to go chase their opportunity elsewhere. Now we’re giving people reasons to stay right here in Great Falls and chase opportunities that’re right in their backyard,” said Cory Reeves.

Gov. Greg Gianforte said he is proud to work with local partners across the state to bring in employers such as Janicki Industries and support innovation and economic growth in Great Falls.

“Montana business owners are expanding and companies in high tax, high regulation states recognize the advantage of Montana and choose to invest here,” said Greg Gianforte.

Company President John Janicki said Great Falls stood out because of its workforce, community backing and education system.

“There’s a lot of willing people to work here, great community support and great education,” said John Janicki.

The manufacturing campus at AgriTech Park is expected to cover 1.6 million square feet, with the first phase scheduled to be finished by the end of 2027.
