BUTTE, Mont. - A driver heading southbound on Montana Street hit a pedestrian before crashing into a Subway on Wednesday morning, according to Butte police. The pedestrian was hospitalized with what police described as serious injuries. 

The Subway also "sustained damage," Butte police said. 

Butte police said that no other cars were involved in the crash, which occurred at around 8:06 a.m.

Montana Highway Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
