Cascade County Commissioners cancel 2020 Montana State Fair due to ongoing pandemic

PHILLIPS COUNTY, Mont. - The carnival at the Phillips County Fair for 2026 has been canceled, according to a social media post from the fair, which said it was "recently notified" of the cancellation.

Now, the fair is looking for a replacement.

"With only a week until the fair begins, we're doing everything we can to find a replacement," the fair said. "As you can imagine, trying to make those arrangements on such short notice has been difficult, but we're making calls and exploring every option."

The Phillips County Fair also encouraged residents to leave ideas and suggestions in their social media comments or by message.

"We know this is disappointing news, and we’re disappointed too. We appreciate everyone’s support, and we’re still looking forward to a great week at the Phillips County Fair."
