BUTTE, Mont. — Butte's sports community is one week away from honoring its newest Hall of Fame class.

Next Friday, July 24, the latest members of the Butte Sports Hall of Fame will be officially enshrined. They will receive plaques and the hall's signature green jackets.

The 2026 class will join a long list of past inductees tied to Butte sports history. That group includes stuntman Evel Knievel, football coaches Sonny Holland and Bob Green, and many others.

Among the five teams and 12 individuals being inducted, the 2026 class includes state champions, pioneers in women's sports, career-winning football coaches, and more.

The green jacket ceremony is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at the Butte Civic Center. It is free to attend.

The induction banquet will follow on Saturday, July 25. Tickets can be purchased at the Butte Civic Center box office on Harrison Avenue, or at the Butte Civic Center website.
