Bitterroot National Forest fire burns west of Lost Trail Pass
HELENA, Wash. — A new wildfire called the Falls Point Fire is burning about 5 miles west of Lost Trail Pass, already burning between 25 and 30 acres.

According to a release by the Bitterroot National Forest, the fire is burning on all flanks and torching in heavy timber, with three helicopters and an air attack aircraft already on scene.
A tanker has been ordered to deliver fire retardant, and more updates are expected as the situation develops.
