BEAVERHEAD COUNTY, Mont. — People in Beaverhead County who use TRICARE can get an emergency refill of their prescription medicine through Aug. 27 because of the Sand Creek Fire.

A Defense Health Agency media advisory said people can go to a TRICARE network pharmacy for a refill. They were advised to bring their prescription bottle if they have it.

If the bottle is missing or the label is damaged, people were told to call Express Scripts or the pharmacy for help. They can also call Express Scripts at 1-877-363-1303 or use the to find a pharmacy.

The advisory said it may be easiest to return to the pharmacy that first filled the prescription. If the medicine came from a chain pharmacy, another store in that chain may also be able to fill it.

If the doctor or other clinician who wrote the prescription was available, that person could call in a new prescription to any network pharmacy.

The advisory also said most TRICARE patients did not need a referral to go to a TRICARE-authorized urgent care clinic or provider. That did not include active duty service members.

People with an emergency were told to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
