Monday arraignment set for Moberly man accused of shooting woman in her driveway
The man charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of 57-year-old Cheryl Gravitt is set to be arraigned Monday.

An arraignment is set Monday afternoon for the Moberly man charged with murder in connection to the death of 57-year-old Cheryl Gravitt.
Christopher Viley, 51, will be arraigned on charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Randolph County Courthouse, according to court records.
Gravitt was found with a gunshot wound to the head outside her home in the 500 block of Morehead Street in Moberly the evening of Aug. 23, according to previous KOMU 8 reporting.
Gravitt's family told KOMU 8 News she was taking out the trash when she was shot in her driveway.
Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot, and investigators used video surveillance footage from the area to identify Viley as the suspect, according to a probable cause statement. Viley was arrested Thursday in the 1000 block of Sinnock Avenue after a brief standoff, according to the Moberly Police Department.
Viley is being held at the Randolph County Jail without bond.
