TEXARKANA, Texas — Police arrested Louie George, 87, on Wednesday for sexual assault of a child.

George serves as a pastor at a local church and held the same role in the 1990s when the alleged victim attended the church as a young child.

Investigators have identified at least two additional suspected victims since opening the case. Due to George's long tenure at the church, authorities believe there may be other alleged victims who have not yet come forward.

George is being held in the Bi-State Jail while the investigation remains active.
