BOSSIER CITY, La. — South Bossier Park will welcome families next month for a community Independence Day festival as part of the KTBS 3 Freedom Fest Finale and the nationwide America250 birthday celebration.

The family-friendly event is scheduled for July 4 at the park on Caplis Sligo Road. Gates open to the public at 5 p.m.

Festival organizers say the event will feature local food trucks, children's inflatable bounce houses, and live music performed under a main tent. The evening will conclude with a synchronized regional fireworks display set to launch at 9:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and small sun coverings. The park has also designated space for self-powered RV parking. District rules prohibit alcohol, barbecues, grills, and any open flames on the property.

Like every year, there will be multiple locations across the ArkLaTex to view the spectacular fireworks shows, courtesy of KTBS' sponsors.
