Shreveport police seek suspect in child sex crime investigation
SHREVEPORT, La. — Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit are searching for a 36-year-old man wanted in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a child.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher D. Christaw. He faces one count of sexual battery of a child under the age of 13 and one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The investigation began after a victim disclosed details of the alleged assault during a forensic interview. According to investigators, Christaw originally agreed to report for questioning but failed to show up on the scheduled date.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Christaw has a prior conviction involving a sexual offense.
