SHREVEPORT, La. — One of musical theater’s most celebrated productions is coming to the Shreveport Little Theatre as "Cabaret" takes the stage later this month.

Cast members Elise Birmingham and Stephen Atkins offered a preview Tuesday morning of the acclaimed show set in Germany during the rise of the Nazi regime.

Birmingham stars as Sally Bowles, a performer at the Kit Kat Club, while Atkins portrays Cliff Bradshaw, an American writer navigating a rapidly changing world.

“There’s a little something for everybody,” Birmingham said. “There’s the glitz and glam, the happy and the go lucky, and then for the more pensive audience member, there’s a really, truly deep story there.”

Cabaret opens July 16 and runs for two consecutive weekends. Tickets and additional information are available at shreveportlittletheatre.com
