SHREVEPORT, La. — Shark Week is underway at the Shreveport Aquarium, bringing a week of shark-themed activities, interactive exhibits and special events for visitors of all ages through Sunday.

Children ages 2 to 12 can receive a free shark-themed party pack each day while supplies last with paid admission or an aquarium membership. Visitors can also complete the Shark Explorer Stamp Trail to earn a free shark sticker from the gift shop.

Guests can search for fossilized shark teeth in the Red River Treasure Mine, enter the Shark Art and Poetry Gallery contest for a chance to win a grand prize shark basket and meet Yoko, the mystery swell shark whose unusual birth made international headlines.

The aquarium is also offering interactive experiences where visitors can feed stingrays and meet bamboo sharks while learning about the relationship between the two species.

Daily activities include shark crafts, storytime and bubble parties on select days, shark science programs, educational talks and shark feedings.
