Yancy Norman
MANY, La. -- A Sabine Parish man arrested last year for having sexual abuse images and a child sex doll in his possession was sentenced last week in Sabine District Court.

Yancy Elie Norman, 53, of Noble, was sentenced to serve 22 years in state prison.

Last summer, Sabine Parish Sheriff ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force Detectives received a tip alleging Normand had forced someone to view child pornography. The tip was received as part of the Louisiana ICAC Task Force, led by the attorney general's office.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Normand's home and found several electronic devices and two hand-crafted sex dolls resembling juvenile females. Search warrants of Normand's devices led to the discovery of over 200 illegal files, both child sexual abuse material and bestiality.

Sheriff Aaron Mitchell said these tips are vital in an investigation. "Detectives will aggressively investigate any activity concerning child exploitation," he said.

Normand has been incarcerated in the Sabine Parish Detention Center since his arrest last June.
