BOSSIER CITY, La. — Bossier City children looking to beat the heat are getting welcome news just in time for the start of summer break.

The pool at Mike Woods Park will officially open for the season on Tuesday.

Bossier City officials had previously planned to close the pool for the summer, but those plans changed after a surge of public pushback

According to the seasonal schedule, the pool will operate weekly from Tuesday through Sunday. Swimmers will be welcomed from noon to 5 p.m. daily during those operational days.
