Mansfield man accused of arson in mobile home fire

Terry Smith, 45, of Mansfield was arrested Wednesday on a charge of aggravated arson.
The arrest stems from a fire that occurred shortly after midnight on Friday in the 300 block of Shell Street.
DeSoto Parish Fire District 8 requested investigative assistance from the SFM following the fire.
During the investigation, SFM deputies determined the abandoned mobile home had been intentionally set. The fire spread to an adjacent occupied mobile home, causing damage. No injuries were reported.
Smith's bond is set at $100,000.
