SHREVEPORT, La. - Shreveport police on Wednesday announced the arrest of a man wanted since last month following what was described as a "dangerous vehicle pursuit."
The driver was identified as Larry Sudds Jr., 29.
According to police, an officer spotted a white Dodge Charger being driven carelessly in the 2000 block of Marshall Street near a local bar on July 25. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but police said the driver ran shortly after contact was made.
Police said the driver traveled at a high rate of speed through neighborhood streets before the pursuit continued onto Interstate 20 West. The driver eventually escaped.
Investigators later identified Sudds as the driver and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
He's been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer and careless operation.
