Man found dead in Mansfield pond identified
MANSFIELD, La. -- An investigation is underway after a man's body was found in a pond in Mansfield Monday morning.

MANSFIELD, La. -- An investigation is underway after a man's body was found in a pond in Mansfield Monday morning.
The DeSoto Parish Coroner's Office has identified the man as Roderick Booker, 43, of Mansfield.
His body has been sent to Little Rock, Ark., for autopsy to determine his cause of death.
The discovery of the body was first reported to Mansfield police. The sheriff's office then took over the investigation.
The pond is located behind a residential area bordered by Laura Street and North Hills Drive.
An investigation into Booker's death is ongoing.
