SHREVEPORT, La. - The world's largest tournament fishing organization is heading back to Northwest Louisiana with 50 of the top anglers in the country.

Major League Fishing announced its 2027 Bass Pro Tour schedule this week. The second event of the season, called "Stage 2," is headed to both Cross and Caddo Lakes.

MLF was in Northwest Louisiana in November with the Summit Team Series. They'll be back with a four-day event, fishing Caddo Lake the first 2 days and Cross Lake on days 3 and 4.

The Bass Pro Tour streams live all four days, putting the national spotlight on the region.

"The Major League Fishing organization coming here really showcases two of our major outdoor assets," said Emma Boone with Visit Shreveport-Bossier. "The good thing about Cross Lake and Caddo Lake is you're gonna get a different unique fishing experience on each lake. Again, it's showing the diversity and capabilities of our outdoor footprint in Shreveport-Bossier."

The event is scheduled for February 25-28. The Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour will visit Toledo Bend in April for stop number four next year. The tour features local anglers like Nick LeBrun, Justin Cooper, and Colby Miller.
