SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Krewe of Harambee introduced their royal court and theme for the 2026-2027 Mardi Gras season in downtown Shreveport Saturday.
The king is Greg Odums and the queen is Nakeel Hamilton.
The theme is "The Rhythm of Funk of New Jack Swing" which pays homage to the music genre that was popularized in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
It was held at Sam's Town Casino, which is now owned by Bally's.
