SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a Greenwood man following an investigation into a domestic violence incident involving a firearm.

Robert Mik, 60, is charged with multiple offenses after he allegedly pointed a gun at another person and intentionally fired multiple rounds into the floor, as well as in the direction of the family dog, according to a sheriff's office news release. 

The alleged incident happened on Friday. Det. Thaddeus Scott with the CPSO Special Victims Unit obtained a search warrant for the house and seized the revolver believed to have been used. He and other investigators found bullet holes and projectile impacts consistent with the victim's account.

Patrol deputies additionally determined that Mik had intentionally burned property belonging to the victim outside the residence, the sheriff's office said.

Mik was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic abuse aggravated assault, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and simple arson.
