SHREVEPORT, La. — The inmate who died Tuesday while in custody at the Caddo Correctional Center has been identified as Glen Mazier, the former Greenwood police chief who was arrested last week on child sex crime charges.
Mazier, 75, was found unresponsive in his cell and was taken to Willis-Knighton Medical Center on Greenwood Road, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy concluded Mazier died of natural causes, with no indications of foul play, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.
