MARSHALL, Texas — A family is mourning the loss of two brothers who were killed in a shooting at a Marshall Whataburger early Saturday, remembering them as loving young men with promising futures.
 
Marshall police identified the victims as Jassiah Hill, 18, and James Morrow, 20. Family members confirmed the two were biological brothers.
 
Police responded around 1:50 a.m. Saturday to a report of a shooting at the Whataburger on Victory Drive. Officers found four people suffering from gunshot wounds. Hill and Morrow died at the scene, while two others were taken to area hospitals. Their identities and conditions have not been released.
 
Authorities have arrested McDale Brown, 18, on capital murder charges in connection with the shooting. 
 
As the investigation continues, the brothers' family is reflecting on the lives they lived rather than the way they died.
 
"Those were some outstanding kids," their father, James Morrow Sr., said. "Not perfect, but they were damn good kids."
 
Their grandmother, Catherine Clark, described Hill and Morrow as resilient, caring and deeply loved by their family and neighborhood.
 
"They weren't perfect, but they were ours," Clark said.
 
According to relatives, Morrow attended Navarro College. Hill graduated from Longview High School in May and had accepted a full football scholarship to William Penn University, where he planned to enroll this fall.
 
Family members said the brothers had spent the day celebrating a relative's birthday before stopping at the restaurant late that night. They said Hill knew the two other people who were shot but believe the brothers were simply grabbing something to eat when the gunfire erupted.
 
"They were just going out and having fun," Clark said. "Everybody's been young before."
 
Morrow Sr. said no words can ease the pain of losing his sons.
 
"I always loved them, and I'm going to miss them dearly," he said. "There's no words anybody can say to bring them back."
 
Police have not released additional details about what led to the shooting.
