Coroner identifies man killed outside Holiday Inn Express in downtown Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, La. - The Caddo Parish coroner has identified the man killed early Monday morning at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in downtown Shreveport.

The coroner said Derrick Coleman, 32, of Houston, Texas, was taken to Ochsner LSU Health after he was shot. He was pronounced dead at 7:19 a.m.
Police told KTBS Coleman was shot twice -- once in his chest and once in his arm.
The incident happened at around 1 a.m. after an argument inside a hotel room escalated to the shooting outside of the hotel on Lake Street.
Police said the shooting suspect is believed to have left the scene in a white sedan.
Coleman's death is the 27th homicide in the city this year.
