TRE'VEON JACKSON

SHREVEPORT, La. - The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is actively searching for an inmate who escaped from a deputy's custody while being transported from Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. Monday, Tre'veon Jackson, 24, got away on foot from outside Ochsner LSU Health in the 1500 block of Kings Highway. Jackson escaped as a Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office deputy was preparing to place him in a transport van for his return to the Caddo Correctional Center.

The deputy immediately started chasing Jackson on foot but the inmate managed to escape.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are assisting in the search, including the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police Department, LSU Medical Center Police, and the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office Air Patrol.

Jackson was last seen wearing a white shirt, green shorts, and white shoes, with tight braids in his hair. He should be considered armed and dangerous due to serious charges against him. The public is advised not to approach or attempt to apprehend him. If anyone sees Jackson, they should immediately call 911 and provide his location, direction of travel, and any other relevant information to law enforcement.
