Caddo Parish man sentenced to 20 years for child pornography conviction

Morgan J. Moore, 36, of Shreveport, was sentenced to the maximum 20 years, with 10 years of supervised release when he gets out of prison.
A federal jury convicted Moore of one count of possession and seven counts of receipt of child pornography.
Moore was arrested in May 2024 after Caddo Parish sheriff's detectives got a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that Moore had uploaded child pornography onto the KIK messaging app. A search warrant at Moore’s home recovered multiple devices containing approximately 19,125 files containing child pornography.
According to court documents, digital evidence of these crimes included graphic videos depicting sexual abuse of children as young as four years old.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated this case, with NCMEC providing additional investigative material. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Cheyenne Wilson and Earl Campbell with assistance from paralegal specialist Amanda Morgan.
