BOSSIER CITY, La. — Area residents can soon access comprehensive enrollment assistance in their own neighborhoods as Bossier Parish Community College launches a series of registration outreach events throughout Northwest Louisiana.

The upcoming sessions, scheduled for Bossier City, Natchitoches and Many, aim to streamline the preparation process for new and continuing students ahead of the fall semester. Attendees will have the opportunity to secure one-on-one help with college applications, academic counseling, financial aid options, veterans' educational benefits and class scheduling.

To facilitate the onboarding process, the college has organized multiple events spanning late July and early August. The initiative kicks off with a BPCC On Location session on July 21, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sabine Parish Library, located at 705 Main St. in Many. This neighborhood event is structured to bring campus representatives directly to residents, making it simple to complete entry requirements and navigate financial aid paperwork.

For individuals balanced by daytime obligations, an evening session called Advising After 5 will take place on July 23, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bossier Campus on 6220 E. Texas St. This event opens up late-day availability for counseling, admissions and military benefits.

Participants must report to the admissions desk on the first floor of Building F by 6:30 p.m., though standard campus operations will also be active starting at 8 a.m. that morning.

The community outreach continues Aug. 3, with another off-campus event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. hosted at the Natchitoches Parish Library at 450 Second St. Additionally, an all-site registration day is planned for Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., covering the Bossier, Natchitoches and Sabine Valley campuses simultaneously.

Sign-ups are operational for the upcoming fall term. The academic calendar features staggered start dates, beginning Aug. 13 for Sessions A, B and D. Later tracks launch Sept. 1 for Session J, Sept. 10 for Session E, Oct. 7 for Sessions C and F, and Nov. 3 for Session G. Prospective students have until the initial day of their chosen session to finalize their schedules.
