Body found in wooded area north of Minden identified as Webster Parish man
MINDEN, La. — A body discovered in a wooded area north of Minden has been identified as Samuel Dance, 43, of Webster Parish, according to the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office.
MINDEN, La. — A body discovered in a wooded area north of Minden has been identified as Samuel Dance, 43, of Webster Parish, according to the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Jason Parker stated that family members identified Dance from photographs taken during the ongoing investigation.
The remains were found Sunday along a creek bank near Willard Ray Road and investigators believe the body had been there for several days.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death, and the investigation remains active as authorities await further forensic results.
Meanwhile, Dance's sister, Shannon, has started a GoFundMe to help with his cremation and provide for his daughter and mother.
