Arson Arrest
BATON ROUGE, La. -- An investigation into a vehicle fire this weekend in Plain Dealing led to the arrest of an Arkansas man on multiple charges. 
 
The state Fire Marshal's Office said Andrew Ellis, 49, of Lewisville, Ark., is charged with the following:
 
• Simple arson 
• Stalking 
• Aggravated assault upon a dating partner 
• Communicating false information of planned arson
• Criminal trespass (two counts)
 
State fire marshal's agents got involved in the investigation at the request of Bossier Parish Fire District No. 7 following a vehicle fire Saturday in the 1100 block of Goodman Street. 
 
An Office of State Fire Marshal (SFM) investigation has resulted in the arrest of an Arkansas man on multiple charges.
 
Investigators accuse Ellis of intentionally setting the fire and got a warrant for his arrest. 
 
Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas located and arrested Ellis in Lewisville.
 
This remains an active investigation.
