A250 fact of the day: East Texas oil

MARSHALL, Texas - As we approach the 250th anniversary of America, KTBS 3/KPXJ CW 21 continues to celebrate this history of our nation.

East Texas was once home to the largest oilfield in the world. In 1930, the discovery of black gold transformed East Texas from a farming economy into an energy powerhouse.
