3 injured after car crashes into SporTran bus stop
SHREVEPORT, La. — Three people were taken to local hospitals Friday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a SporTran bus stop and a traffic control pole near Youree Drive and Stoner Avenue.
SHREVEPORT, La. — Three people were taken to local hospitals Friday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a SporTran bus stop and a traffic control pole near Youree Drive and Stoner Avenue.
The Shreveport Fire Department said the crash was reported shortly before 2 p.m. The vehicle was traveling near the intersection when it veered off the roadway for unknown reasons, according to firefighters.
Police said the driver of a car ran off the road and hit a SporTran bus stop.
The vehicle struck the SporTran bus stop and a traffic control pole.
Firefighters said three people were involved in the crash. Preliminary information indicated one person was inside the vehicle and another was at the bus stop. The location of the third person at the time of the crash was not immediately clear.
All three were taken to local hospitals by Shreveport Fire Department and Ballentine Ambulance crews. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Crews remained at the scene at 6 p.m. investigating the crash and working to clear the area.
